Job Description
As a Software Development Engineer in the Data Processing team, you will be at the foundation of Workday’s runtime. You, along with support from your outstanding team, will be developing new tooling and services capable of redefining our application developers experiences in delivering extraordinary applications to our customers. Our engineers are innovative, deep on development and informed about the latest technologies and trends. If you are fired up about working with developers who are creative and highly technical and you enjoy collaboration with knowledgeable Product Managers, we’d love to speak to you.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math or related field
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ years of distributed systems engineering experience applying one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Golang
- 1+ years troubleshooting high concurrency distributed systems in production.

Skills & Qualification
- Strong systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency and performance
- Thrive in a fast paced, high energy work environment that is agile and deliver value incrementally and frequently
- You have a passion for code correctness (continuously improving testability and code quality)
- Experience in compiler design and abstract syntax trees
- 1+ years of distributed systems engineering experience applying one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Golang
