As an Academic Counsellor (AC) at Unacademy’s Kota center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring lead conversions for admissions by providing academic guidance and counseling to prospective students and their parents. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the educational needs and aspirations of students and help them make informed decisions about their academic journey with Unacademy.
Roles and responsibilities
1. Academic Counselling: Conduct one-on-one consultations with prospective students to understand their educational background, interests, career goals, and learning requirements.
2. Program Presentation: Present information about Unacademy’s IIT-JEE and NEET preparation programs, curriculum, teaching methodology, faculty expertise, and infrastructure to prospective students and their parents.
3. Course Recommendation: Recommend suitable courses and study plans based on the academic strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences of students, ensuring alignment with their goals and aspirations.
4. Educational Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to students on various aspects of academic planning, including exam preparation strategies, time management, study techniques, and stress management.
5. Follow-up and Conversion: Follow up with leads through regular communication, addressing their queries, providing additional information as required, and guiding them through the admission process to ensure maximum conversion.
6. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, educational consultants, schools, and other referral partners to increase the visibility and reach of Unacademy’s programs in Kota.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is an advantage.
2. Proven experience in academic counselling, student advising, or educational consulting, preferably in the field of IIT-JEE and NEET preparations.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students and parents.
4. Strong understanding of the IIT-JEE and NEET entrance exams, including the syllabus, exam pattern, and preparation strategies.
5. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a customer-centric approach.
7. Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings to accommodate student consultations and events.
