Job Description
As a Full Stack Engineer in the Pricing Data Science team, you will have a central role in designing, building and maintaining data products that are reliable, performant and with easy to use interfaces. You will be part of a strong analytics team of data scientists, data engineers and software engineers working together to build data products that help generate business value, for example through accurate pricing predictions and recommendations. There are a lot of interesting challenges ahead, and we need your help.
Education & Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience of web user interface development in a commercial or open-source setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure system reliability and high uptime by implementing robust monitoring, failover strategies.
- Optimize system performance to handle high data loads, focusing on efficient data processing, effective resource utilization, and scalability to support growing data volumes and user demands.
- Design and develop elegant user interfaces that provide an intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly experience, incorporating best practices in UI/UX design to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
- Advocate for, and implement best practices and principles in software development, including code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability, to ensure the technical excellence and sustainable success of our projects.
- Possess a basic understanding of AI models, demonstrating familiarity with machine learning concepts, the ability to integrate AI components effectively, and the capacity to collaborate with AI specialists to enhance the application’s capabilities and performance.
Skills & Qualification
- You have a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and computer science fundamentals.
- Knowledge of different database technologies SQL/NOSQL including database design and optimisation.
- Understanding of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with web development technologies for data intensive applications such as Dash, Streamlit.
- Experience with API technologies for data intensive applications such as FastAPI.
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues efficiently.
