Job Description
At Asteria Aerospace we are looking for a Drone Service Engineer and Flight-testing role. Here you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Asteria drone systems for testing and customer training purposes, proper maintenance, repair, and operation of our fleet of drones. You will be responsible for conducting test flights, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing training to customers on drone operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a passion for working with cutting-edge technology.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma Graduate & above Entry Level.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Drone Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on our fleet of drones to ensure they are in excellent working condition.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, perform necessary repairs, or coordinate repairs with cross-functional teams.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
2. Drone Flight test Post Servicing:
- Conduct pre-flight checks to verify that all drone components, including cameras and sensors, are functioning correctly.
- Perform test flights to evaluate drone performance, stability, and functionality, identifying potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the safe and efficient setup of drones for various missions.
3. Software Updates and Calibration:
- Perform software updates on drones to ensure they are running the latest firmware.
- Calibrate drones and associated equipment as needed for accurate performance.
4. Inventory Management:
- Maintain an organized inventory of drone parts, batteries, and accessories.
- Monitor and order replacement parts as necessary to minimize downtime.
5. Documentation:
- Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and any issues identified.
- Create and maintain detailed records of test flights, maintenance activities, and customer training sessions.
- Assist in the preparation of maintenance reports for management and clients as needed.
6. Customer Training and Support:
- Assist in training drone pilots on proper drone care and maintenance procedures.
- Provide technical support to drone operators during missions as required.
- Provide training to customers on drone operation, including flight controls, software utilization, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.
Skills & Qualification
1. Technical Skills:
- Drone Operation: Proficiency in operating drones and understanding their various components and systems.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues with drones, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Software and Firmware Updates: Experience in updating drone software and firmware to the latest versions.
- Calibration: Knowledge of drone calibration procedures for optimal performance.
- Technical Documentation: Capability to maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
2. Problem-Solving Skills:
- Diagnostic Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and address technical issues.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and thoroughness in performing maintenance and pre-flight checks.
3. Communication Skills:
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and collaboration with team members, including drone pilots and external vendors. (Hindi & English)
- Training and Support: Capability to provide guidance and support to drone operators and other team members.
- Client Interaction: Ability to interact professionally with clients when needed.
4. Organization and Time Management:
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of drone parts and accessories.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage tasks and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
5. Safety Awareness:
- Safety Protocols: Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines for drone operation and maintenance.
- Emergency Response: Knowledge of emergency procedures in case of accidents or technical failures.
