Job Description
Roots Innovation Labs is looking for a Machine Learning/Data Scientist with a passion for research and a knack for analysis, math, and statistics.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree.
- 0 to 4 years of experience in ML/Data Science.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Study and transform data science prototypes.
- Design machine learning systems.
- Research and implement appropriate ML/NLP/Gen AI algorithms, Models and tools.
- Develop machine learning applications according to requirements.
- Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods.
- Run machine learning tests and experiments.
- Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results.
- Train and retrain systems when necessary.
- Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field.
Skills & Qualification
- Proven experience as a ML/NLP or similar role.
- Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software
architecture. - Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms
- Ability to write robust code in Python.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch or
TensorFlow) and libraries. - Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands on experience working with Large Language Models and
associated tools/processes – Prompt Engineering, RAG, Vector Data
Bases, Langchain, LORA, Finetuning pipelines etc.
