Job Description
ABB Group is hiring for the role of Mechatronics Automation Engineer!
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechatronics/mechanical)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for specified mechatronics products from B&R portfolio-Trak technology, Robotics(Mechatronic systems | B&R Industrial Automation (br-automation.com)).
- Design and develop, mechanical and software solutions for machine automation with varied tasks.
- Create POC and requirements engineering for intelligent machine automation using transport system solutions under the mechatronics head.
- Create suitable demos as per customer requirements. Interaction with customers understand the design concepts and derive the solution.
- Test our latest product developments and technologies. Installation support to local team at our customers’ sites.
- Support and assistance with technical issues. Planning and monitoring application development status for each assigned task.
- Keep the communication channel active with the stakeholders until the completion of the application.
- Maintain and protect B&R or customer IP. Training and consultation for the internal team as well as customers.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechatronics/mechanical)
- Minimum 0 to 3 years preferably in machine automation development, support experience, and mechanical design
- Knowledge of mechanical parts and tools. Having experience in machine design will be an added advantage
- Knowledge regarding simulation software, tools like Solid Works, AutoCAD
- Experience in Mechanical design and some knowledge on software development will be added advantage
- Confident in communication in the English language and local language
- Experience in the field of automation or electrical (PLC, drives, control systems, motion control) will be an added advantage
- Flexibility with business trips.
